German soccer supports initiative

With the beginning of the season, the professional soccer has joined NADA's initiative for clean sport. According to our motto "GIVE EVERYTHING, TAKE NOTHING", NADA promotes transparent successes and honest results in sport and draws attention to the risks of illegal, performance-enhancing drugs.

"We are very happy about the explicit commitment to clean performance in sport by soccer in Germany. This is impressively underlined by the joint campaigns of DFL and NADA. The active development of the anti-doping work in cooperation with NADA in the fields of prevention and control system also contributes to this", says Dr. Andrea Gotzmann, CEO of NADA.

At the first matches of the season in the 1. and 2. Bundesliga and the Supercup NADA’s logo will appear on the match balls, especially produced for the start of the 1. and 2. Bundesliga, as well as in the top match between Borussia Dortmund and FC Bayern Munich. After the Supercup match, the ball will be signed by the captains of the two clubs and auctioned in favor of NADA’s campaign. "Doping has no place in sports. That is why professional soccer in Germany supports unanimously the initiatives of NADA", says DFL's managing director Andreas Rettig. In addition, the campaign for clean sport will be published in six editions of the Bundesliga magazine. Dr. Rainer Koch, 1st DFB Vice President, adds, "We have been working with NADA for many years. Because the anti-doping fight can only succeed when all partners cooperate."
